Feed the kids

6/18/14   9:23 am Would anyone like their child to get any extra food ? Its been a month since I was there handing out food and we have some deliveries going out next week to kids. I'd say at least $7 per child should cover sugar, rice or beans for a few days. I know other orgs who gives monthly food to all sponsored kids to take home. We only did this only once on my last trip in mbiko due the high costs.  But buying in bulk helps. So if anyone else wants to donate monthly or bi-monthly so their kids get enough to eat at home especially on weekends then let me know. So I can see what we can work out. IF YOU DON'T OR CAN'T SPONSOR ANY KIDS YET MAYBE CONSIDER DONATING SO  AN UN -SPONSORED CHILD CAN GET MUCH NEEDED FOOD. DONATE $7 per child or  ANY AMOUNT for un-sponsored kids HERE www.auntiesangels.com

POVERTY IN AFRICA! Good vs Bad Aid...

July 3, 2013   6:40 pm  A lot of people have many different views on how to help Africa. I agree that its very bad to give money to anyone you see on the street. Most of the time if money is given to begging children it will immediately be taken by their guardian/older sibling or other relative. It won't help the child. So in our sponsorship program we've always tried to focus on education for the children and not giving handouts to the parents. They should try their best to find whatever work is available. Most times parents especially the men of the house will spend their money on themselves and not give a second thought to their kids. This is why we want the children to have the chance to get an education even if their own family doesn't /can't provide for them. I know many people go on missions trip and walk through villages handing out candy or other small  things. Some even hand out bags of food. If done in a controlled way by going home to home and v...

Why Kids Need Sponsors

10:31 am   Dec 19, 2012 Kids who have sponsors have more confidence. You may be the only person who encourages them. They know if they have a sponsor they can't be sent away from school because no one pays their fees, so they worry less. They also meals at schools so they have to go hungry like some do at home. They are so happy to have a sponsor and they remember their sponsor by name and pray for them daily. Below are stories about a few of the kids in our sponsorship program. You can see they all are like most kids their age but they really enjoy school and the work hard at everything they do. Sponsor a child today by clicking on our Donate button to give with pay pal. Joan N. What an amazing and highly entertaining, kind and fun young girl she is. She is one of the most talkative, chipper little people ever. She's a typical 12 year old who loves Justin Bieber,  Nicki Minaj & Harry Potter. One thing that is different about her is that she lives in a ...
