Helping the Children of Africa

Aug 30, 3:23pm This is Mary with her Grandfather Ojuuk. Her story is below! There are 19 kids who need a uniform. Here are some of their names and ages. If you want to give them a uniform Boys uniforms are $12 each, girls are $10. If you pay for a uniform for 1 of these kids listed below then you can also be their pen pal. They are the only kids without a pen pal. I have photos of these kids also and a group photo several posts back. UPDATE 2:43pm IT COST $10 TO BUY A SCHOOL UNIFORM FOR A GIRL AND $12 TO BUY A UNIFORM FOR A BOY. THERE ARE 19 KIDS THAT NEED A UNIFORM OR THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND SCHOOL IF THEY DON'T HAVE ONE! WON'T YOU HELP THEM? CLICK ON THE YELLOW DONATE BUTTON ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BLOG! Enough money has been raised to cover the Water bill for the Home! Also below is a photo of the shirts that each child will receive. UPDATE Aug 25, 5:10 pm So far we have raised $90.59 USD to help the Orphanage Pay the water bill. We hope to raise at least $100 by Thursday night! 11:53pm Aug,14 This is the new house that is renting, It is much bigger and better than their old orphanage. It has running water but they are currently having trouble paying their water bill. They are in need of $75. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. New photos of the items bought for the kids last month should be posted by next week. From the recent sell of the necklaces the children were able to get 5 mattresses, 30 lbs of Rice, 35 lbs of corn meal, and 25 lbs of beans. They also got a soccer ball and a few other small items. Beans cost 65 cents for 2 lbs and corn meal is 55 cents for 2 lbs Rice costs about $1 for 2 lbs. Mosquito nets were also bought for around 5 kids in June. Money for food is always needed because feeding around 20 kids can get expensive. You can make a donation for any of the items listed above just make a note on paypal so we'll know what you would like the money to be used for!
